the motorcycle sea of tranquility

The Novel "Motorcycle Ride on Sea of Tranquility" by Patricia Santana .   This novel took place in the late 1960's in San Diego California. The family is preparing a welcome party at their house for Chuy. Chuy is coming back from Vietnam. When Chuy comes back they notice that he is not the same no more. He comes home like in mid-  July. His family was watching a moonwalk when chuy came home. Chuy came back from Vietnam really aggressive and violent. "Hi Chuy,"  I had said, but I might as well have whispered it to myself. He had already turned to greet Monica and Luz , my words lost to him in the confused air. I was afraid, truly afraid, my brother chuy didn't recognize his favorite sister anymore. " ( page 17 ). Chuy didn't recognize his sister anymore and he was really different from his sister. His sister noticed it and she didn't know what she expected of how chuy came from Vietnam. Chuy was ignoring his sister instead he was greeting Monica and luz. when his sister was talking to he brother chuy, he would ignore what she was telling him. It affected the novel because before chuy left to Vietnam he was caring and was appreciated. When he came back he was really different and and want to be around with the family that much. It relates to my life experience because my godfather is a veteran. He would tell me stories about when he served in the Vietnam war. His son would tell us that when my godfather would come to visit he would come more violent and different.
